Extracurricular
In the Law of the National Education System No. 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System, it is stated that National Education functions to develop abilities and shape human character and civilization.
One of the goals of Education is to explore students’ abilities, talents, and interests. Because of the imbalance between the abilities that students must have and the available time allocation, extra time is needed outside of class hours as a means of self-development of the abilities that must be possessed in the Intra-Curricular. In order to develop abilities and explore students’ potential in processing feelings, SMP Islam Al Azhar 44 feels that this extracurricular activity needs to be held.
As for extracurricular activities at SMPIA 44, they consist of two parts, namely mandatory extracurricular and elective extracurricular. For mandatory extracurricular activities are Scouts and Al Azhar Martial Arts (ASBD). While for the electives, they include Basketball, Futsal, Badminton, Dance, Science Club, English Club, DKV, Music.
