Al Azhar 44 Islamic Junior High School was established in 2017 based on the enthusiasm of the community, located on Jl. Sunset Avenue Grand Wisata, South Tambun, Bekasi.

Al Azhar 44 Islamic Junior High School is one of the schools under the auspices of Yayasan Waqaf Al Muhajirien Jakapermai located at Jl. Cemara Raya No. 47 – 49, Jakasampurna, Bekasi, West Java 17145.

In addition to Al Azhar 44 Islamic Junior High School, Yayasan Waqaf Al Muhajirien Jakapermai  also previously owned, established and managed Al Azhar schools located in Jakapermai and Kemang Pratama from Kindergarten Playgroup (KB) to High School level.

In addition, Yayasan Waqaf Al Muhajirien Jakapermai also has the Al Azhar Mosque and the Elementary Madrasah School located in Jakapermai, and has a training center building located on Jl. Cut Mutia Kota Bekasi. Yayasan Waqaf Al Muhajirien Jakapermai has been active in the world of education and preaching for 36 years.

Until now, Yayasan Waqaf Al Muhajirien Jakapermai has overseen Al Azhar schools located in the Jakapermai, Kemang Pratama and Grand Wisata complexes in collaboration with the Al Azhar Islamic Foundation in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.
